From State Mugs to Soul Work: Why I Design for the Healing Journey
Tudo começou com uma paixão por design e uma ideia simples. Eu vendia canecas com o objetivo de criar todos os 50 estados! Um sonho grande! Comecei com Michigan, depois Califórnia, e as pessoas adoraram. Mas, com o tempo, algo dentro de mim mudou.
Como terapeuta licenciada, meus dias são repletos de histórias profundas, cruas e reais. Conto com as pessoas nos momentos mais ternos de suas vidas. Ouço as coisas que elas nunca dizem em voz alta. E comecei a perceber: a cura também merece ser vista. Celebrada. Usada com orgulho. Eu queria criar algo que não fosse apenas fofo ou moderno, mas significativo. Afirmativo. Honesto.
Então, comecei a criar itens que refletissem a jornada emocional que muitos de nós percorremos: engraçados, vulneráveis, imperfeitos e corajosos. Camisetas que expressam o que sentimos. Canecas que contêm mais do que café. Ferramentas e planilhas que ajudam terapeutas, pais e cuidadores a entender e se conectar melhor com as crianças sob seus cuidados. Porque o trabalho de cura não é pequeno, é tudo.
Esta loja é uma mistura dos meus dois mundos: o coração de uma terapeuta e as mãos de uma designer. Seja no auge da sua própria cura, guiando alguém na cura dela ou apenas tentando rir em meio ao caos, há espaço para você aqui.

This all started with a love for design and a simple idea. I was selling state mugs with a goal to create all 50 states! Big dream! I started with Michigan, then California and people loved them. But over time, something inside me shifted.
As a licensed therapist, my days are filled with stories, deep, raw, and real. I sit with people in the most tender moments of their lives. I hear the things they never say out loud. And I began to realize: healing, too, deserves to be seen. Celebrated. Worn with pride. I wanted to create something that wasn’t just cute or trendy, but meaningful. Affirming. Honest.
So I began designing items that reflect the emotional journey so many of us are on, funny, vulnerable, imperfect, and brave. Shirts that say what we feel. Mugs that hold more than coffee. Tools and worksheets that help therapists, parents, and caregivers better understand and connect with the kids in their care. Because the work of healing isn’t small, it’s everything.
This shop is a blend of my two worlds: the heart of a therapist and the hands of a designer. Whether you’re in the thick of your own healing, guiding someone else through theirs, or just trying to laugh through the chaos, there’s space for you here.
