For the love of shiny things

My shop started with my own love for fun and classy jewelry, a somewhat dormant creative streak, and the simple phrase: "I like shiny things!" ("Who doesn't?!" replied my friend.) From decorating our Christmas tree with handmade ornaments as a child, to wearing sparkly jewelry as an adult, I am drawn to things that brighten up a day – or a season!

A few years ago, I started daydreaming about making jewelry. I thought it must be really hard to do. Then, on a whim, I took a class. As the saying goes, I was hooked.

I strive to make fun pieces that can go from day time activities to special nights out. I think jewelry is best when it suits you. (Don't you love it when something is "just right?") So, my necklaces will almost always be adjustable with an extender. I’m happy to adjust bracelet sizes, and ear wires can often be exchanged. Just ask.

I feel so lucky to have found this creative outlet. I’m also inspired by my father, whose initials were “JJ.” He was a photographer who was true to his art throughout his life, and who always encouraged me to follow my heart and look for the light in every scene. It makes me so happy when I can bring some light to another person’s day with something that makes them feel good to wear.
