Hi! My name is Paola, I'm a goldsmith and jewellery designer.
I was born in Italy near the city of Naples, which has a great tradition of handcrafted jewellery and miniatures (there is the famous "street of cribs", via San Gregorio Armeno).

I had my first encounter with the fascinating world of jewelry when I was a child, during an archaeological exhibition where I saw the jewels found under the ashes of the Vesuvius. They survived not only to people, but also most of the artworks and buildings: with a great symbolic and economic value and a small size, they were the principal objects that all the people took while were fleeing.

For me, a jewel is “portable art”.

After the high school I learned the art of the coral carving at the Art Institute of Torre del Greco.
For three years I studied jewelry design at the largest jewelry center in southern Italy (the "Tarì" of Marcianise, near Caserta).
In 2012 I attended a course about resin jewelry in Florence, at the Alchimia School, with the designer Yoko Shimizu.
