Remember the good ole days? Do you think back with fond memories? Do you have a yearning for some of that to come back or to stay a little longer? I know I do.

I am a homebody. I like the simple things in life. I am practical and down to Earth. There's just something special that comes to mind when we reminisce about the good ole days and I want my shop to have the feel of a simpler, less hectic, time. My items are practical, useful, meant to last a long time, just like they were in days gone by.

I sell upcycled clothes and housewares and accessories, but what I am really selling are smaller carbon footprints, old fashioned values, and a reminder of life before technology and convenience became the norm.

I am a one-woman shop; I chose what items to offer, I make everything myself, I am the photographer, the shipper, the marketer, and the customer service representative. I take pride in my work and I want every purchase to feel just as special to you when you receive it as it did for me when I was making it.

My shop is constantly evolving. When I find myself needing something that I can make I figure out how to make it, then if I think others will like it, I make more to include in my product line. Custom orders have had an influence on my shop, too. If you haven't yet, check out the items I have already sold to get an idea of what I have made. Just about every custom order request of "Can you make this?" ended with, "Yes I can." I like the challenge and I like being able to make exactly what someone else needs or wants, and I am always grateful that they thought enough of my skills and workmanship to come to me to make their special item. (I have also done custom orders for trade...something to keep in mind if you are also an Etsy shop owner.)

Your purchase from Lovin'TheGoodOleDays really means a lot to me. Going from sole provider/single mom to SAHM was a choice, but that doesn't mean I'm done. This mom's dream is to be a debt-free stay-at-home mom, who also happens to sew, a lot...and bake, and work in the garden.
