MemoryThreadCo creates custom embroidered keepsakes from your own handwriting
We all leave a paper trail full of love and personality in our wake as we journey through life. And once in a while, a note in a greetings card, or a doodle speaks to us with such force we have to cherish it, but when regulated to paper alone they are often lost to the waste bin. By preserving your loved one's art or handwriting on fabric you are able to keep these memories alive through textile art. Many a greetings card contains a strikingly heartfelt line which can too soon be forgotten. We want to enable you to keep hold of these memories, display them and cherish them.
We love every piece we design and stitch, enjoying the opportunity to take time to develop relationships with customers, however brief, because each one has a story – sometimes sad and full of loss, sometimes joyful. Our custom embroidery service specializes in preserving the memories of those we hold close to our hearts. We want to work with you to design something that speaks to you and captures the emotion of the memory you hold of your loved one. Celebrate your loved ones with embroidered replicas of their handwriting and keep the magic of childhood alive by commemorating your children’s budding artistic endeavours to fabric.
A Little About The Beginning:
I started the business after taking a break from my career as a post-doctoral cancer researcher to raise my daughter and I enjoyed 3 busy years of being a full time mum. When my daughter began preschool, I was looking for a new challenge and discovered the technique of free-motion embroidery. This is a wonderfully creative way of using a standard sewing machine to draw.
Inspired by my daughter's artistic abilities, I started using free-motion embroidery to copy my daughter's drawings onto fabric. This led to the creation of MemoryThreadCo, where I work with customers to create unique embroidered pieces that capture the memories and personalities of their loved ones. Through my work, I hope to help people keep the memories of their loved ones alive and celebrate their relationships with textile art.
