Ich erinnere mich, dass ich meinen ersten Rock in der High School gemacht habe und wie ich ein Muster, den Stoff und die Vorstellungen auswählte. Als ich dann an der Nähmaschine saß und meine erste Kreation machte, wusste ich sofort... Ich war süchtig. Seitdem bin ich kreativ. Ich war 10 Jahre lang Kosmetikerin, Quilterin, Töpferin und jetzt Puppenmacherin. Meine Großmutter war Quilterin und gehörte zu den quiltenden Bienen.... Wie lustig ist das! Ich habe auch eine tiefe Leidenschaft für alte Quilts. Ich bin gesegnet, ein paar von ihnen zu besitzen, die meine Großmutter gemacht hat, und ich schätze sie. Ich liebe es, in einen Stoffladen zu gehen und mir all die verschiedenen Drucke und Texturen anzusehen. Ich fühle mich wie ein Kind in einem Süßwarenladen. Ich liebe auch Baumärkte, es gibt so viele verschiedene Dinge, die in meine handgefertigten Artikel integriert werden können.... Nägel, Draht, Nägel, Bildschirm und alle Arten von Leckereien. Es macht Spaß, über den Tellerrand hinauszuschauen.

Alle meine Kreationen werden von Anfang bis Ende von mir handgefertigt und wenn ich Puppen, Ornamente und andere Kreationen entwerfe, hier ist eine kurze Beschreibung meines Prozesses;
Ich mache ein Muster, übertrage es auf Fabtic, Holz oder andere Textilien, nähe die Teile zusammen, stopfe den Gegenstand bei Bedarf und dann male ich die Gesichter und andere Details von Hand auf jeden Artikel. Ich bin stolz auf meine gute Qualität und darauf, sagen zu können: "Handmade in the USA".

I remember making my first skirt in high school and the process of picking out a pattern, the fabric and the notions. Then as I sat at the sewing machine, making my first creation, I knew right then...I was hooked. Ever since then, I have been creative. I was a cosmetologist for 10 years, a quilter, a potter and now a doll maker. My Grandmother was a quilter and she belonged to quilting bees....how fun is that! I also have a deep passion for old quilts. I am blessed to own a couple of them that my Grandmother made and I cherish them. I love to go into a fabric store and look at all the different prints and textures. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I also love hardware stores, there are so many different things that can be incorporated into my handmade items....nails, wire, tacks, screen and all kinds of goodies. It is fun to think outside of the box.

All of my creations are completely handmade from start to finish by me and when I am designing dolls, ornaments and other creations, here is a short description of my process;
I make a pattern, transfer it to fabtic, wood or other textiles, sew the pieces together, stuff the item if needed and then I hand paint the faces and other details on each item. I pride myself in good quality and being able to say, "Handmade in the USA".
