Francesca Lehtomaa, proprietaria di Path of Dalliance, è un'anima neofita e creativa che ama le cose più belle della vita senza credere di dover pagare un prezzo pesante! "Adoro la sfida di trovare un affare. Se riesco a trovarlo in un negozio dell'usato o vintage, allora perché dovrei pagare i prezzi al dettaglio?" scherza il giovane imprenditore. Oltre al suo negozio Etsy, ha un blog (wwww.EverythingWife.com) su cui pubblica i suoi mestieri e ricette, e spesso sottopone i suoi scritti a pubblicazioni locali e nazionali. Ci siamo seduti con lei per porre le domande nella mente di tutti:
D: Se potessi cenare con chiunque, vivo o morto, chi sarebbe?
R: Maria Antonietta. E bevevamo una bottiglia di champagne e parlavamo della nostra passione per cambiare i nostri capelli.
D: Quali sono i tuoi hobby al di fuori di Etsy e dei blog?
R: Sono ossessionato dalla cucina: adoro provare nuove ricette e cercare di migliorare le mie capacità di cottura. Amo anche viaggiare e scrivere.
D: Tra tutti i tuoi viaggi, dov'era il tuo posto preferito?
R: Sono stato in tutto il mondo - Shanghai, Hong Kong, Germania, Italia, Amsterdam, Canada, in tutti gli Stati Uniti - ma il mio posto preferito era il villaggio di Oberammergau in Baviera. Mio marito ed io siamo andati lì per 1 giorno mentre eravamo in Germania ed è stato surreale. È un piccolo villaggio in montagna dove il "Gioco della Passione" è iniziato nel 1600. La gente non parla inglese e abbiamo appena bevuto birra e guardato la gente e ammirato le splendide viste.
D: Perché hai così tanta lingerie vintage nel tuo negozio?
R: La lingerie che vendo è bella e unica---è il tipo di lingerie che una donna indossa quando vuole sentirsi particolarmente sexy. Ogni volta che vado a comprare un pezzo di lingerie mi chiedo se è qualcosa che indosserebbeRo Maria Antonietta o Dita von Teese! Non c'è niente di meglio di un pezzo di lingerie che farà sì che la mascella del tuo altro significativo colpisca il pavimento!
Francesca Lehtomaa, owner of Path of Dalliance, is a newlywed and creative soul who enjoys the finer things in life without believing you have to pay a hefty price! “I love the challenge of finding a bargain. If I can find it at a thrift or vintage shop, then why should I pay retail prices?” quips the young entrepreneur. In addition to her Etsy shop, she has a blog (wwww.EverythingWife.com) on which she posts her crafts and recipes, and is frequently submitting her writing to local and national publications. We sat down with her to ask the questions on everyone’s minds:
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: Marie Antoinette. And we would drink a bottle of champagne and talk about our passion for changing our hair.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of Etsy and blogging?
A: I am obsessed with cooking—I love trying new recipes and trying to improve my baking skills. I also love to travel and write.
Q: Out of all your travels, where was your favorite place?
A: I’ve been all over the world-Shanghai, Hong Kong, Germany, Italy, Amsterdam, Canada, all over the US- but my favorite place was the village of Oberammergau in Bavaria. My husband and I went there for 1 day while in Germany and it was surreal. It’s a tiny village in the mountains where the “Passion Play” started in the 1600’s. The people speak no English and we just drank beer and watched the people and took in the beautiful views.
Q: Why do you stock so much vintage lingerie in your shop?
A: The lingerie I sell is beautiful and unique---it’s the type of lingerie that a woman puts on when she wants to feel especially sexy. Every time I go to buy a piece of lingerie I ask myself if it’s something Marie Antoinette or Dita von Teese would wear! There is nothing better than a piece of lingerie that will make your significant other’s jaw hit the floor!
