Ciao! Sono Jordin, il creatore dietro Slow Forge Co. Provengo da un background artistico e di design grafico e mi piace trarre ispirazione dal mondo naturale, astraendolo in silhouette insolite e giocose. Ho iniziato a realizzare gioielli in acrilico tagliati al laser nel 2020 e da allora ho trasformato la mia pratica in un mezzo più sostenibile. Lavorando con il metallo voglio creare un'eredità di gioielli belli e duraturi che ispiri chi li indossa a rallentare e vivere intenzionalmente.

I gioielli realizzati a mano in metallo sono un processo intrinsecamente laborioso, l'esatto opposto del fast fashion. Utilizzando tecniche di lavorazione dei metalli antiche e moderne, Slow Forge Co. si caratterizza per la sua dedizione alle pratiche sostenibili e per l'utilizzo di rottami e materiali trovati quando disponibili. Tutti i pezzi sono realizzati in argento sterling e/o ottone e alcuni richiedono ore per essere realizzati.

Hello! I'm Jordin, the maker behind Slow Forge Co. I come from an art and graphic design background and enjoy drawing inspiration from the natural world, abstracting it into unusual and playful silhouettes. I started making laser-cut acrylic jewelry in 2020 and I've been transforming my practice ever since to a more sustainable medium. By working with metal I want to create a legacy of beautiful and lasting jewelry that inspires wearers to slow down and live intentionally.

Hand-crafted, metal-worked jewelry is an inherently laborious process - the very opposite of fast fashion. Utilizing ancient and modern metalworking techniques, Slow Forge Co. is defined by its dedication to sustainable practices and for using scrap and found materials whenever available. All pieces are made from sterling silver and/or brass, some taking hours to craft.
