We are pleased that you have found your way here and thrilled that you are taking the time to learn about us. We hope that you will love our designs and be excited by the land of The Doldrums.
We work very hard to make sure all our items are made to the best of our ability and strive to bring you original quality items that you will cherish over the years.
All our items are hand made in-house with love and care in our dedicated studio; free from pets and smoke and daily hustle and bustle.
Sock Horror was born in 2006, since which time we have grown from strength to strength; not only in techniques mastered and skills learned but in popularity and recognition. My preferred option is Paypal. You do not need to have an account with paypal to use their service as they accept all major credit cards; however I appreciate that this may not be ideal for everyone, so I will accept cheques and postal orders (bank drafts) on the condition that you let me know before hand and inform me when payment is due.
If I have not received payment within 3 days I will write to you to try to find out what the delay may be. If after 7 days payment has still not been received and we have not come to some mutual arrangement I will treat the transaction as none payment and continue with the procedure as laid out by Etsy (please read their terms and conditions).
CANCELLATIONS:
Any buyer has the statutory right to cancel an order provided written notice of cancellation is received within 7 days. If payment has been received and the items have NOT been dispatched a full immediate refund will be made. If the items have already been posted it is the buyers’ responsibility to return the items in their original condition within 14 days in order to receive their refund.
If I have not received payment within 3 days I will write to you to try to find out what the delay may be. If after 7 days payment has still not been received and we have not come to some mutual arrangement I will treat the transaction as none payment and continue with the procedure as laid out by Etsy (please read their terms and conditions).

Shipping is calculated on weight and size of the item as determined from the Royal Mail website and will be first class within the UK and Airmail internationally. There is a discount shipping rate applied to subsequent items bought in any particular order.
All orders (unless otherwise stated in the item description) are shipped the following morning after payment has been received. This means that orders traveling within the UK can be expected to arrive within 1-2 working days; orders within Europe should take 3-5 working days and all other orders between 5-7 working days. These delivery times are taken directly from the Royal Mail website and based upon first class and airmail delivery.
I will email you when your items have been posted to give you an indication of when to expect receipt of them. The majority of packages find their destination within 2 weeks; those that do not are generally subject to hold ups at customs and are therefore out of our control.
If you would like next day delivery or require additional insurance please contact me and I would be happy to oblige.

FEEDBACK
Feedback is an important part of the Etsy transaction and invaluable to both the buyer and the seller. I do not believe it should be used as a tool to guard against less than glowing comments; therefore I leave feedback for the buyer as soon as their part of the deal is complete and payment has been received. This leaves you free to make honest comments about the items you have purchased and the service you have received. The one thing I ask is that if you are not happy with your items that you contact me before leaving feedback so that we might find a suitable solution to the problem.

All our materials are certified suitable for toys and meet fire safety standards.
We have a series of in-house tests that comply with British and international safety standards, however Sock Horrors are not intended for under 14's.

I WANT TO SEND MY PURCHASE TO AN ALTERNATIVE ADDRESS AS A GIFT. IS THIS POSSIBLE AND DO YOU GIFT WRAP?
I am happy to gift wrap your items and send them to an alternative address, I will even include a personal message if desired. Please contact me with your chosen address and I will amend the delivery charges if required. I will not charge you for gift wrapping. I will also not include a receipt in the package (unless you request me to do so) but I will email you with the receipt for your future reference.

I love doing custom orders and a surprising array of ideas and themes can be incorporated; hair and eye colour, tattoos and accessories, items and props. Nothing is too wild or beyond our means with careful planning.
Please contact me with detailed requirements and I will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
Please be aware however that once an order has been placed for a commissioned item it cannot be cancelled or returned. Please make sure that you want the item before placing the order and I will work closely with you and endeavour to make sure the item fits your specification.
If I have all the necessary materials to hand your order will be completed within 2 weeks. If you have a tighter deadline please let me know and I will endeavour to meet it.
