Hallo allemaal, wij zijn Casey en Kelsey – het team achter Spirit Lab. We runnen ons bedrijf vanuit onze thuiswerkplaats in Philadelphia, waar onze ruimte meestal ook dienstdoet als prototypelab voor welk nieuw idee we op dat moment ook maar mee bezig zijn.
Spirit Lab is ontstaan uit onze tijd in de festival- en Burning Man-gemeenschappen. We wilden een manier vinden om onze twee zeer verschillende vaardigheden samen te voegen tot iets tastbaars, en zo de kloof te overbruggen tussen het zeer technische en het diepgevoelde.
Ik (Casey) ben een digitaal maker, dj en knutselaar. Ik houd me bezig met de technische en productieve kant van de zaak. Ik besteed mijn tijd aan het afstellen van onze 3D-printers, het ontwerpen van duurzame flow-props en het bedienen van onze CO2-laser om ingewikkelde sieraden en medailles te snijden. Kelsey is kunstenaar, klanktherapeut en yogadocente. Zij brengt de ziel en de esthetische visie in het lab. Of we nu een nieuwe medaille of een set flow-waaiers ontwerpen, zij zorgt ervoor dat wat we creëren niet alleen technisch in orde is, maar ook prettig aanvoelt om te dragen, vast te houden en mee te interageren.
We kozen de naam "Spirit Lab" omdat die precies beschrijft hoe we werken. Het is een voortdurend experiment. We testen altijd nieuwe materialen – zoals het vinden van de juiste flexibiliteit voor een hoelahoep of de perfecte afwerking voor een lasergesneden hanger – en vragen ons af hoe fysieke objecten mensen kunnen helpen om te bewegen, te spelen en zich dieper met elkaar te verbinden.
Alles wat je in onze winkel ziet, van onze kenmerkende medaillons tot onze LED-flow-accessoires, is door ons tweeën ontworpen, geprototypeerd en in elkaar gezet. We maken accessoires en draagbare kunst die we zelf ook graag gebruiken, of dat nu op de dansvloer is of in een helende ruimte. Daarom hechten we enorm veel waarde aan duurzaamheid en aan de kleinste details voordat we iets verzenden.

Hey there, we’re Casey and Kelsey—the team behind Spirit Lab. We run our business out of our home workshop in Philadelphia, where our space usually doubles as a prototyping lab for whatever new idea we're currently obsessing over.
Spirit Lab was born out of our time spent in the festival and Burner communities. We wanted a way to merge our two very different skill sets into something tangible, bridging the gap between the highly technical and the deeply intentional.
I (Casey) am a digital fabricator, DJ, and tinkerer. I handle the tech and manufacturing side of things, spending my time dialing in our 3D printers, engineering durable flow props, and running our CO2 laser to cut intricate jewelry and medallions. Kelsey is an artist, sound healer, and yoga instructor. She brings the soul and the aesthetic vision to the lab. Whether we're designing a new medallion or a set of flow fans, she makes sure that what we create isn't just technically sound, but actually feels good to wear, hold, and interact with.
We chose the name "Spirit Lab" because it describes exactly how we work. It’s a constant experiment. We are always testing new materials—like finding the exact right flex for a hula hoop or the perfect finish for a laser-cut pendant—and asking ourselves how physical objects can help people move, play, and connect more deeply.
Everything you see in our shop, from our signature medallions to our LED flow gear, is designed, prototyped, and assembled by the two of us. We build gear and wearable art that we actually want to use ourselves, whether that's out on the dance floor or in a healing space. Because of that, we care a whole lot about durability and getting the tiny details right before anything ever ships out.
