Absolutely! It's perfect for total beginners. Clear visual instructions and easy-to-carve basswood make starting simple and enjoyable.
Is carving safe? Can kids use this kit?
Yes, carving is safe if you follow basic precautions included in the kit. It's designed for adults, but kids 12+ can carve too, always with adult supervision.
What’s included in the kit? Do I need anything else?
Everything you need is included: carving knife, basswood (linden) blank, leather strop, polishing compound, and printed instructions. Just bring curiosity!
What if I mess up the wood?
Mistakes are part of learning! Basswood is forgiving, and minor slips won't ruin your piece. Just relax, enjoy, and keep carving.
Can I buy extra wood blanks later?
Extra wood blanks aren’t available yet, but refill sets are coming soon. Follow our Etsy shop to stay updated.
Can I send it directly as a gift?
Absolutely! The kit arrives gift-ready in a reusable cotton drawstring bag. You can add a personal gift message at checkout. Just keep in mind that the recipient must be an adult (18+) and may need to show ID upon delivery.
What kind of wood is included?
We use basswood (also known as linden wood) — soft, light and perfect for beginners. It’s sustainably sourced and lovely to carve.
When will my order arrive?
We usually ship within 1 business day. Delivery to the UK takes 3–4 days. You’ll get tracking info as soon as it ships.
