Olá! Meu nome é Ava McNeil, designer e proprietária da Stashes of Stuff. Costuro desde sempre. Comecei a inscrever peças que fazia em feiras de condado aos oito anos de idade e, no início da adolescência, já ganhava concursos de costura. Desde então, a costura e o quilting sempre estiveram ao meu lado.
Vendemos nossos tecidos de grife de alta qualidade, colchas artesanais, moldes e kits de colchas. Com a ajuda de todos os meus filhos e netos, fazemos muitas de nossas colchas e kits de colchas artesanais quando encomendados, então, muitos deles podem ter uma mudança de tecido ou tamanho. Tudo é feito "em casa" e tenho 5 filhos adultos (todos que costuram, colcham e ajudam com o negócio), o que me deixou com muitas salas grandes e vazias que foram convertidas em nosso negócio. Temos uma sala de quilting com uma máquina de quilting de braço longo, uma sala de bordado com várias máquinas e nossa sala de tecidos para vendas de tecidos e construção de kits, só para citar alguns. É maravilhoso fazer o que você AMA!
Viemos de uma longa linhagem de "apaixonados por costura" e queremos transmitir isso aos outros. Por isso, montamos alguns dos nossos kits de colcha com o iniciante no meu e tentamos tornar os moldes fáceis de seguir.
Minha paixão começou com minha avó. Durante a Grande Depressão, minha avó sustentava a família fazendo vestidos de noiva com seus próprios moldes e trocando os vestidos por algumas necessidades básicas. Ela sabia costurar, fazer ou fazer absolutamente qualquer coisa. Eu a admirava imensamente e aprendi muito com ela. Minha mãe também tinha um negócio de costura e uma loja de tecidos, o que me proporcionou uma oportunidade de emprego que eu adorava durante anos.
Além da minha paixão pela costura, tive muitas profissões diferentes na vida. Mas sempre retorno ao meu amor pela costura. Meus interesses nessa área são tão variados quanto a minha vida. Acredito que possuo – e uso – todos os acessórios de costura e quilting que uma mulher ou um homem conhece. Meu estoque de tecidos não tem limites! Meu negócio se baseia em muitas especialidades. Estou pronta para colocar minha expertise a serviço de você.

Hello! I am Ava McNeil and I am the designer and owner of Stashes of Stuff.  I have been sewing for my entire life. I started entering items I had made in county fairs at the tender age of eight, and by my early teen years, was winning sewing competitions. Since then, sewing and quilting have always been there for me.
We sell our top quality designer fabric, handmade quilts, patterns, and quilt kits.  With the help of all of my children and grandchildren, we make many of our handmade quilts and quilt kits when ordered so, many of them can have a change of fabric or size. Everything is done "in house" has 5 grown children (all that sew, quilt, and help with the business) left me with many large empty rooms that have been converted into our business. We have a quilting room with a longarm quilter, an embroidery room with several machines, and our fabric room for fabric sales and kit building just to name a few. It is wonderful to do what you LOVE!
We come from a long line of "sewing passionates" and wish to pass that on. So we build some of our quilt kits with the beginner in mine and try to make the patterns easy to follow.
My passion began with my grandmother. During the Great Depression, my grandmother supported her family by making wedding dresses from her own patterns and trading the dresses for some of their basic needs. She could sew, make or do absolutely anything. I looked up to her immensely and learned so much from her. My mother also had a sewing business and a drapery business, which gave me a job opportunity for years that I loved.
On top of my sewing passion, I have had many different professions in my life. But, I always return to my love of sewing. My interests in this area are as varied as my life. I believe that I own – and use - every sew and quilting gadget is known to woman or man. My fabric stash knows no bounds! My business is based around many specialties. I am ready to put my expertise to use for you.
