Ich begann meine Karriere mit dem Schnitzen von Stein- und Holzskulpturen, dem Gießen von Bronzeskulpturen und dem Skulpturieren von Metallobjekten, um einige meiner Skulpturen zu begleiten, während ich an Schmuck bastelte. Vor etwa 14 Jahren hatte ich eine großartige Gelegenheit, Glasskulpturen, Objekte, Tisch- und Unternehmensglas für Steuben Glass zu entwerfen, wo ich oft juwelenartige Silberelemente mit Kristall kombinierte. Ich experimentierte weiter mit Schmuck und Schnitzwachs, was mich dazu brachte, eine Schmuckkollektion zu kreieren, die mein Interesse an organischen Formen widerspiegelt.
Meine Schnallen sind wie Mini-Skulpturen und eine Möglichkeit, Natur, Aktivitäten und Sport zu erkunden.
Sie haben eine skulpturale Qualität, sind handgeschnitzt in Wachs, werden im Wachsausschmelzverfahren gegossen, veredelt und patiniert, um ihnen ein gealtertes Aussehen zu verleihen - alles von Hand.
I began my career carving stone and wood sculpture, casting bronze sculpture and sculpting metal objects to accompany some of my sculpture all the while tinkering with jewelry. About 14 years ago I had a great opportunity to design glass sculpture, objects, tabletop and corporate glass for Steuben Glass where I often combined jewel-like silver elements with crystal. I kept experimenting with jewelry and carving wax which led me to create a jewelry collection reflecting my interest in organic forms.
My buckles are like mini sculptures and a way to explore nature, activities and sports.
They have a sculptural quality, are hand carved in wax, cast in the lost wax process, finished and patinated to give them an aged look - all by hand.
