Nous avons toujours eu un amour pour prendre des matériaux ordinaires et les utiliser pour créer des choses extraordinaires qui s’intègrent dans notre vie quotidienne. Ou, comme nous aimons à le dire, vivez de manière créative et célébrez tous les jours.
Dans ses premières années, Elizabeth a lancé un blog personnel pour capturer et partager de beaux moments de sa vie. Elle a nommé son blog The Path Less Traveled en accord avec la fin de son poème préféré, The Road Not Taken, écrit par Robert Frost. Ne réalisant pas quelle différence cela ferait des années plus tard.

Au début de 2009, John a subi une sérieuse réduction de salaire à son emploi « normal » et les finances sont devenues très serrées. Il était temps pour une route différente. John et Elizabeth étaient tous deux nés dans des familles qui valorisaient la créativité et rêvaient grand. Le travail acharné, la détermination, l’initiative et le sacrifice ont été considérés comme les tremplins pour que ces rêves deviennent réalité. Avec un remue-méninges rapide, ils ont tous deux réalisé que John était un entrepreneur dans l’âme et qu’Elizabeth aimait les articles faits à la main. Il était temps de démarrer leur propre entreprise!
Au printemps 2009, après avoir rassemblé quelques dollars pour acheter quelques mètres de tissu pour fabriquer des tabliers, ils ont ouvert leur première boutique sur BigCartel.com. L’entreprise avait besoin d’un nom. Un accrocheur. Celui qui se démarquait et les séparait de tous les autres. Après quelques jours à en parler, John a suggéré à Elizabeth d’utiliser le nom de son blog. C’est ainsi qu’est né The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Les ventes ont été lentes mais ont montré des signes de croissance. En 2010, The Path Less Traveled® avait changé de plate-forme de marché pour Etsy.com et ajouté quelques articles en papier, articles vintage et guirlandes en tissu. Aujourd’hui, The Path Less Traveled® est hébergé sur deux grandes plateformes de shopping, propose des centaines d’articles faits à la main et est expédié dans le monde entier.
Depuis les humbles débuts de la fabrication de tabliers simples à la fourniture d’art 3D pour les grandes entreprises à utiliser dans des séances photo dynamiques, The Path Less Traveled® continue d’innover et de chercher des moyens créatifs de transformer des matériaux ordinaires en choses extraordinaires. Avec le développement rapide de nouvelles technologies et certains investissements stratégiques, The Path Less Traveled® est ravi de repousser les limites de cette passion pour de nombreuses années à venir.

We have always had a love for taking ordinary materials and using them to create extraordinary things that fit into our everyday lives. Or, as we like to say, Live Creatively & Celebrate Everyday.
In her early years, Elizabeth started a personal blog to capture and share beautiful moments of her life. She named her blog The Path Less Traveled in keeping with the end to her favorite poem, The Road Not Taken, written by Robert Frost. Not realizing what difference it would make years later.

In early 2009, John experienced a serious pay cut at his “normal” job and finances became very tight. It was time for a different road. Both John and Elizabeth had been born into families that valued creativity and dreaming big. Hard work, determination, initiative, and sacrifice were valued as the stepping stones to making those dreams become reality. With some quick brainstorming, they both realized that John was an entrepreneur at heart and Elizabeth had a love for handmade items. It was time to start their own business!
In the spring of 2009, after scraping a few dollars together to buy a few yards of cloth to make aprons, they opened their first shop on BigCartel.com. The business needed a name. A catchy one. One that stood out and separated them from everyone else. After a few days of talking about it, John suggested Elizabeth use the name of her blog. Thus was born The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Sales were slow but showed signs of growth. By 2010, The Path Less Traveled® had switched market platforms to Etsy.com and added a few paper goods, vintage items, and cloth garlands. Today, The Path Less Traveled® is hosted on two major shopping platforms, offers hundreds of handmade items, and ships around the world.
From the humble beginning of making simple aprons to providing 3-D art for large corporations to use in dynamic photo-shoots, The Path Less Traveled® continues to innovate and look for creative ways to make ordinary materials into extraordinary things. With the rapid development of new technology and some strategic investments, The Path Less Traveled® is excited to push the boundaries of this passion for many years to come.
