Hi! everyone.
This is my shop to sell prints, bags and tiles from Tokyo since 2009.
In 1998, I painted my first Portuguese azulejo. The technique and combination of "blue and white" attracted me so deeply. Tile painting also became one of my most important art methods since then.
I studied woodcut print technique druing my BA in Japan, then for etching and other technique I moved to London and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, U.C.L.
My interst to the art always stay with nature like trees, grass weed thus the landscape and garden. Hampstead Heath was my memorable walking trail as well as Lake district, Fort Williams all they were admirable. I also visited Moravian fields in Czech. Those inspired me a lot and the experience still encourages my artistic activity here in Japan.

Print on fabric
Hi, My name is Jun and I am an artist in Tokyo. It's been for almost twenty five years, I spent life with creating prints, drawings and tile paintings.
In 2009 I opened Etsy shop with a bag called "Etching Aquatint Bag" , blue and white. At the beginning, someone asked me to make eco bags, then I repeated some experiments to get better impression on the cotton surface instead of paper. The outcome looked "question", as the sense wasn't transferred. After some trials, I found the best result by printing in blue and white that looked like a dyed indigo fabric.
After repeating press the aquatint plate, some part of image often fades away. I chose chrome plating surface for protection which is effectively working after printing hundreds of bags.
If you are thinking of printing your own bag, I would say your bag should be slightly wet, like to use garden spray for it. You also need a cushion inside of the bag, I also use a wet printing paper together with tissue paper. These combinations work and you will get impression better. They should be blotted well too.
If you succeeded the print, let's go shopping with your bag!
It's fantastic.
