I have always been interested in the idea of craft and making objects and especially love the process of making. Growing up in the South with Grandmothers and Great-Grandmothers who taught me embroidery and needlepoint early in life, I have long had a fondness for fiber and needle crafts. I studied Printmaking and Painting in college in my studio art program and worked as a display artist in years after college. I have a deep appreciation for mid-century modern aesthetics and am particularly inspired by the likes of Robert Rauschenberg and Anni Albers. I'm infatuated with finding the line (or blurring the line, or ignoring it completely) between fine art and craft.
