Primitive, hinged vintage card or reciept box that someone made (years ago, probably in 1950s) using stenciled wood from an old L.C Smith & Bros Typewriter box. Compare the first picture in this listing to the last one, for reference.

Box has two compartments inside: a narrower one at the back and larger one at front. The larger one has a spring-loaded divider that keeps cards snug against the side, so they don't fall over. Third photo shows the spring and slot on the underside of the box.

Clean and structurally solid.
