This lovely old plate has a traditional floral wisteria and iris design. The image is hand painted and has a gold leaf rim and accents painted onto the design. This looks very much like the porcelain made during the Japanese Taisho Period (1912-1926). It is unmarked so I cannot verify that, but the crazing and wear is right for that date.

Aside from the expected crazing, this is in nice condition. There is wear to the gold rim and some of the paint. The photos show the condition well. The white on the wisteria blossoms on the right hand side is not paint loss, it's glazed with the gold lining in tact. The white is an area that the painter left bare. The back has been drilled so that it can be hung on the wall. Measures 8" x 6".

You will get the exact item shown. Because this is a breakable item, insurance is included in the shipping price, USA only. International buyers, please message me for a shipping quote.
