-Unique attached cape design - cape is gathered and has oodles of fabric
-Long row of tiny, satin-covered, functional buttons down the front of the bodice
-Super-full, pleated skirt
-Interfacing on the interior for extra body/stiffness
-Mid-calf length (on me - I'm 5'6" - this is an approximation, please see below for precise measurement)
-Shiny, slightly-iridescent, heavy-weight satin fabric
-Figure-flattering hourglass shape with curve-hugging bodice, bust-enhancing wide neckline, and full skirt.
CONDITION: This is a pre-owned vintage dress in completely wearable, yet less-than-perfect condition. It has imperfections consistent with items of its age which do not interfere with functionality/wearability, some of which are fully inconspicuous, some of which are less so. Please note, I have photos of most, if not all, of the following details, and will be happy to send them to you if you send me your email address. Here are the specifics:
-Faint rings under the arms. These are not visible during wear for the most part, as the arms will generally be down.
-The worst flaw by far on this dress are the scattered marks, including small faint single marks on the front left side near the bottom, top of the left sleeve, top front of the right sleeve, and front left upper center (again, message me for photos) in addition to multiple, darker, more pronounced marks on the top left, bottom left, and center bottom of the back (see photo 5 for one example). The photo of the marks on the back may make them seem like dress-ruiners; however, due to the sheer volume of fabric on the dress, and the iridescence of that fabric, I believe this dress could definitely be worn at night without much, if any, attention being drawn to these marks. The previous owner of this dress was wearing it in its current condition right up until her pregnancy. Sitting here in my home in low light, I really have to look closely to see the marks, and I don't think people will be scrutinizing the dress this carefully when you are out and about in it. It is such a unique and lovely piece, they are much more likely to be simply overcome by its beauty, and thus blinded to its shortcomings.
-Pinhole from a price tag on the underside of the right sleeve. This is unlikely to be seen during wear.
-Tiny pinhole, abrasion, and a few white specks on the center right side of the back
-A few tiny faded specks on the back center right side
-Loose stitches at the base of the buttons. This will be an easy repair.
-Small stains on the inside interfacing. They cannot be seen during wear.
-Hem will need to be restitched someday - does not need it now.
-One button needs to be re-secured. This is an easy fix. If you are uncomfortable doing it yourself, I can do it for you prior to shipping (just let me know).
My home is pet- and smoke-free, though I cannot guarantee that my items' previous homes were. I recommend that you launder or dry-clean all pre-owned clothing prior to wear (though this dress is fresh from the cleaner's).
