Vintage 1970s book plate print of Irving Penn's photograph New York Child, in black ink on white glossy paper. Iconic, striking black and white portrait,1953.

This is a 30-40 year old book page featuring both a print of his photograph, and a written column of notes on celebrated American photographer Irving Penn. The fascinating image is printed in high quality matte ink on glossy paper, and although it's black and white it has an almost silvertone look and feel to it - it's an interesting effect, sort of grainy and beautiful.

The paper measures approximately 10" square, and the printed image about 6.5" x 7" and it is very much suitable for framing. There is some other printed material on the back of the page, but these do not mar the clarity of the front image (unless the page is held up with light behind it, of course). Condition is good, the image is without creases. One edge of the page is raw, and the far edge has a little bit of very pale foxy discoloring from age. It has been handled over the years, but carefully, and is an image worthy of display.

This will look excellent cropped, matted, and framed for the photograph alone, or displayed as the entire piece with text included.
