Presented here is "Flowers and Crystals", a OOAK fiber cuff bracelet created from "scratch" without any pattern. I hope you enjoy my cuffs as much as I enjoy creating them. They never turn out as I originally intend them to because I found I love the creative process. I start out with a concept and create my designs as I go along. What fun I have!
Every piece of fabric, labels and beads are handsewn on to each cuff. Nothing is glued on. The majority of my cuffs take an average of two days to make and I love every minute of the process.
I have tons of vintage and contemporary fabrics and I literally have thousands of vintage and contemporary beads to choose from. I've got a huge stash of vintage and new clothing labels too which I incorporate into my original cuffs. I like using clothing labels as part of my cuff designs because they are "little works of art". I started collecting clothing labels about 15 years ago. I knew that one day I would find a way to create something unique from them. I also like to leave frayed edges to add to the overall design of the cuff.
The base for this dressy cuff is washed vintage denim. I used three vintage and one contemporary crocheted flower. The center of one of the flowers is accented by a gold and rhinestone vintage button. The other three flowers are accented by vintage crystal from a vintage necklace. There's a sparkling gold vintage tassel hanging from one of the crocheted flowers. The white trims are vintage and there's 3" wide vintage crocheted trim at the bottom. The white trim near the bottom is accented by 10 creamy beige vintage pearls from a necklace. The remaining portion of the cuff is sprinkled with ivory colored carved vintage beads and vintage crystals.
The sturdy cuff closes with two gold satin ribbons which can tightly wrap around the two different vintage buttons. One button has two large pearls set in a gold tone metal and the other button is absolutely stunning. It has a large AB crystal center surrounded by petite rhinestones set in gold metal.
The total length of the cuff is 9-1/2" long and 5-1/2" wide (including trims). The cuff will fit a 6-3/4" to a 7-3/4" wrist with both ends overlapping and without a gap between the ends.
The pictures show the cuff from three different angles: how it looks from all sides while being worn, laid flat so you can see the design on the entire cuff and one close-up of some of the detail on this cuff bracelet. If you are interested in possibly purchasing this cuff, we'll be happy to provide more close-ups since we could only fit one with this listing.
The underside of the cuff is a golden color flowered vintage style cotton fabric.
