This is so pretty. The legend at the bottom tells us it was 'Painted for American Chicle Company by Neysa McMein Copyright 1920.' (Ms. McMein was born Marjorie Moran in Quincy, Illinois, attended the Art Institute of Chicago, and in 1913 went to New York City. On the advice of a numerologist, she adopted the name Neysa, and thereafter credited the name change with her rapid success.) This ad for Adams California Fruit Gum, Tuttti Frutti (All Fruit in Italian) Flavor came out of Modern Priscilla Magazine in April, 1920. In very good vintage condition, with an insignificant tear (less than an inch) on the left side just below the middle. There is a Lux ad on the reverse. Size of image: 9 inches wide by 12 inches high, plus off-white border. Unframed, ready to frame, in a plastic sleeve.
