Handthrown Ceramic Yarn or Knitting Bowl with a Fluted Edge

I used a light, translucent celadon glaze with a beigey rutile rim on this little yarn bowl. The colors are extremely delicate and glassy and it's difficult to get them to come through on camera. The celadon glaze is so smooth under your fingers and the texture of the clay really comes through.

For this piece, the yarn bowl seen here is the exact one that will be sent to you . As you can see in the last picture, a small crack appeared during the final firing around the foot. I repaired it with an epoxy and gold dust mixture in the KIntsugi style of Japanese pottery repair. The crack does not affect the integrity of the piece, but I have listed it as a second so it ships to you for free!

Size: 6" (at the rim) by 3" (tall) approximately
Colors: Celadon and Rutile

This yarn bowl is handmade using Cone 6 stoneware and glazed with a food safe glaze. Please handwash if necessary. Remember that these are pieces of art and not production pottery - no two will be exactly the same but each will have its own unique story to tell.
