Just like the one that was in Cinderella when Gus Gus was trapped.
Beautiful antique Victorian mouse or rat trap. What a contraption. This is a turn of the century or older "no kill" rat or mouse trap. The entry door and actual trap are very large so a big rat would fit in here. This great piece measures 17" long, 9" wide and 7" tall.
This is a quonset hut shaped trap with a lovely design. It is weight driven...you put the food in the cage area and when the mouse enters through the little tunnel it weighs down the trap door and enters the main cage. The trap door goes back up and there is a little round door you open to let the mouse out on the opposite end. Can you see the tiny piece of bead in the photo? Nice wire carrying handle. No missing pieces. Very sturdy.
This would be a great design element for your wire antiquities, your gothic parlor or a wonderful way to display dried flowers.
