This listing is for a vintage Czechoslovakian tin probably from the 1970s. This tin is in great shape and is a perfect place to keep little items such as jewelry, buttons or other small treasures!

I love this tin!!! It is so cute and sweet and the graphics on it are so lovely! The cover has 'Vysoke Tatry' written on it which means the 'High Tatras'. The Tatras, for those who don't know, are/is the mountain range in Slovakia and though they are not as high as the Alps, they are very high and are a winter ski destination for many people (as well as a summer hiking destination). This cigarette tin has no outward reference to cigarettes except for in the address on the back. Actually, a translation of the slovak text on the inside lid of the tin (3rd photo) reads that 'it is in our interest and our obligation to protect the Tatras'. The small circle at the upper left of this same photo shows a mountain goat and the words which mean Tatras National Park. The back of the tin reads: Czechoslovakian Tabacco Fabrication (translation) then the name of a town then a product code and finally the price (6CZK!!! - which today equals about 30cents USD!)

Condition: This tin is in very good condition. There are a few tiny scratches from use, but these only give it character and a good vintage feel.

Size: 8.5cm x 7cm x 1.5cm - (3 3/8in x 2 3/4in x 5/8in)
