This is a Beautiful White Ironstone pitcher made by J. W. Pankhurst & Co. at the 'Charles Street Works' in Hanley, England (ca. 1852-1880). The Maker's mark as shown in photo has the design bearing the Royal coat of Arms, and what is interesting, is that they did not add '& Co.' until 1853. The company went bankrupt in 1883 and then was succeeded by Johnson Bros. in 1883

This Glorious Pitcher is about 12 inches tall at the spout, and is about 8 inches across at the widest section, with a 5" base. This pitcher has no chips, but it has a small hairline fracture at the inside rim of the spout (which is shown in photo). Beautiful crazing

(* Note... a similar pitcher from the same maker and time period, sold for $205 on eBay)

* Ships to Continental US via USPS, Insured with delivery confirmation (domestic). Please convo me for Alaska, Hawaii or International rates. Price listed is only an estimate and I will be happy to combine orders, will refund in excess of $2 back to your PayPal account.
