This wonderful vintage magazine rack from the 1950s is a Tole Craft paint by numbers rack with a tole painting of a sailing ship. This kitschy mid century item is black metal with curled edges at the top printed with gold scrolls. The sides and middle have twisted metal with a handle, and at the bottom are more curls for feet.

One side is hand painted with a sailing ship, lighthouse, and seagulls in blues, browns, and greens. The painting is pretty well done, but you can see some of the unfinished paint by number printing underneath.

The magazine rack is in good shape but has a few dents and scratches. This was made in about the mid-1950s by the company Tole Craft (which also had paint by number metal trash cans and the like).

Size: 15 inches wide x 9 1/4 inches tall x 8 1/2 inches wide (38 x 23.5 x 21.5 cm)
