STUNNING vintage shoes, likely from 1939 (based on the fact they are identical in look to a pair I saw in a spring 1939 issue of Life magazine), made of a beautiful cinnabar rust coloured leather. Peep toes, elasticized sling backs, and gorgeous pierced and raised designs on vamps. Inner label indicates these are "Diana" brand. Truly, an exceptional pair of wartime shoes!

Approximate Measurements of Shoes (in inches):
Inner Length: to 10 1/4"
Outer width: 3 1/8"
Heel Height: 3 3/4" (including footbed width)
Marked 8 1/2 AAA (very narrow 8.5), but I'm an 8M (regular width) US, and these did fit me. Go by above measurements for ideal fit and proper sizing.

Condition Notes: These beautiful shoes have been given some tlc by an expert Hollywood cobbler (the leather has had conditioning and the back elastics have been replaced), so they are in wearable and lovely condition. There is still surface crazing visible on the outer vamp leather (esp. on right foot--see let image) and evidence of surface paint flaking both outside and inside vamps, but because the shoes have been treated to render them more supple and stable, these are more aesthetic points than structural ones. Nevertheless, they are sold as is and as a final sale, so please do ask all questions and request any extra photos before purchase. Thanks!
