"Espresso consumption is an aesthetic experience, like tasting a vintage wine or admiring a painting. It is a search for beauty and goodness and improving the quality of our life. As it offers such subjectively ineffable ‘goodness’, devoid of defects, the only adequate reaction to it is astonishment — astonishment that can give birth to enthusiasm, and therefore intellectual and spiritual enrichment." -Andrea Illy

ABOUT THE ITEM

This rare and highly collectible 2-cup espresso maker is the perfect blend of design and functionality. The stainless steel machine is approximately 9" tall and plugs into a standard wall outlet. It produces two cups of espresso within 2-3 minutes.

We have not prepared espresso with this machine but have run several cups of water through it. It appears to work perfectly. The machine is completely original and includes all original parts. The rubber seal is a bit brittle and should probably be replaced at some point, but it is currently operable as is.

Zappia is a Swiss company. The metal badge on this machine reads as follows:

400 WATT
110 VOLT
MARCA "PARADISO" DEPOSITATA

RICORDARSI DI RIEMPIRE D'ACQUA FINO AL SEGNO
