My inspiration for this piece was an engraved white gold filled pocket knife which actually works. You will be ready for anything that comes along when you wear this necklace. I hung the knife from an Art Nouveau watch pin with the initial H engraved on it. To this I added pyrite beads, mother of pearl, rhinestone spacers, faceted citrine gemstone, watermelon quartz, an English silver 3 pence coin, gold filled tie bar and antique watch chain, and put a tiny mother of pearl knife charm for the back of your neck. The fun part about this necklace is that you can change the knife pendant for a locket ot other charm because it is a watch pin and the pendant can be changed. Men will especially notice this necklace, because even though it is beautiful, it has real strength. The necklace is 16" long and the knife is 2 3/8" long.
