Churn Dash Wall Hanging or Table Topper

I have a love of civil war prints and history. This little quilt is made with a churn dash pattern. The pattern dates between 1800 and 1849. It is a variation to the nine patch block. So named because it resembles the top of a butter churn.

Each block is less then 4" in size. Its overall measurement is 17 3/4 x 23. Thus qualifying it as a miniature quilt.

A sleeve is sewn on the muslin (typical fabric backing for its time) back for hanging or it will make a lovely topper for your country table setting. My favorite colors in this which you see me use over and over are the pumpkin against the brown.

This sale is for the quilt only.

See also my civil war and prairie quilts. They would make a colorful grouping. Combined shipping considered.

Made in my smoke free studio overlooking the Rocky Mountains.
