Urgh, well its the beginning of May 2012 as I write this description and its unseasonably hot in Seattle. Now, most of you should know that you don't visit Seattle for its sun and golden beaches. As was my understanding when we moved here. If I wanted hot and dry, I'd have moved to the Gobi Desert...or hell. So this mobile was created as an appeal to the Gods of weather to bring back the rain. If you live in Seattle and its raining as you read this...yes it was me...you're welcome.

This mobile has been hand knitted from cotton yarn in a loose stitch to depict the fluffiness of clouds. It has been knitted in two colors, white and grey along the bottom as an illustration of storminess. The raindrops are made from reused reflective beads. Very pretty as they turn and catch the sun. The cloud is suspended using invisible thread to add to the illusion of a fluffy cloud hovering about.

If you're wondering, the picture over my dining room table is by Etsy seller Nidhi Chanani. She's great. http://www.etsy.com/shop/nidhi?ref=pr_shop_more

And the little sun in the first picture is from Busy Bees kindergarten blog

Parents, this is not a toy. Please keep well out of reach of children.

It is not recommended that this mobile be washed but if you absolutely must, soak only in tepid water with a dash of white vinegar or detergent appropriate for washing wool. Do not tumble dry. Air dry on a flat surface after gently pressing out excess water.

Please have a look at my shop policies before ordering.

I'll ship it to you within 2 business days and I will drop you an email to tell you exactly when I have sent it. For a box this size, it will take about 3 days to get to you as first class USPS mail.

Perhaps you would like a different color cloud, or different raindrops. Any changes you might like, convo me and we'll chat about what we can do. This will take around 2 weeks to make for you, possibly more or less depending on availability of supplies.

Well thank you for stopping by! It'd be great to hear feedback from you about my items or my shop. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all.
