This is a wonderful and robust vintage children's sewing machine. Made for Sears under the kenmore brand it was made after the second world war in Berlin US-Zone. I am not sure how long things were designated US zone after the war. It dates likely from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The machine is made of metal and works perfectly. The original cord is in good condition and has no wear. The original carry cover is missing, but does not take away from this lovely machine. It weighs about 6 pounds and is nothing like toy sewing machines of the last 30 years.

The base measures 8 1/2" x 5" while the machine is 6 1/4" long.
