This is a wheel thrown and hand assembled Teapot made with a white stoneware clay, a flowing, glossy, pale blue glaze, and a purchased cane handle. Inside the Teapot there are tea leaf strainer holes, making the pot suitable for loose leaf tea or teabags. The deeply flanged lid fits securely and the spout pours well.

The Teapot was fired in an electric kiln to Cone 6, or mid-range stoneware temperature.

The Teapot holds 16 ounces liquid. It measures approximately 6 1/4" from tip of spout to far side of the pot and 5 3/4" height to the top of the lid. The base diameter is 3". The wider part of the pot is 4 1/4" diameter. The cane handle is approximately 3" tall.

The Teapot is for brewing tea and, of course, must not be placed on a heat source.
