Is it really that pink? YES. All these pictures were taken in indirect daylight on my window sill. This piece of spinel comes from the Mahenge mines in Tanzania, and if you spend a moment googling it, you will see that those are, indeed, the colors. I recently connected with a gem seller who specializes in gems from East Africa (i.e. spinel, color change garnet, tanzanite, spessaritite, tsavorite, zircon).

The coloring of this gem is excellent, it is clean, and of a very high cutting grade.

Size: .73 cts
Measurements: 6.9 x 4.9mm
Shape: Oval
Origin: Mahenge Mines, Tanzania
Color: Neon Bubblegum Pink
Treatment: None
Per carat price: $340
Price of gem: $248

Sorry for the price, but this stuff IS expensive. It is totally unique and hard to come by, that's why. Also, the deeper the pink, the more expensive the stone. So the slightly lighter pinks cost a little less.

You have a two week inspection period with this gem, during which you can return it for a full refund, no questions asked. I can also make you a custom order. Custom orders are not refundable, which is why I suggest that you get the gem first and look at it. I can always do something with it afterwards. Or you can hire a local jeweler.

Please let me know if you'd like a certificate with this gem. I would take it to GEMLABS on 47th Street, but it adds a few days to shipping. A full certificate is $40 and a mini certificate is $20 (the latter will give you an identification and certifies lack of treatment). I'd bill you via paypal.
