This time it's an art yarn! Cherry Blossom roving (See description below) spun with uncarded kid Mohair locks dyed in gorgeous shades of deep cherry, fuchsia, amethyst. I may have one more skein in stock, please inquire. 100 yards, weighs 3.2 oz.

It's that time of year once again...the flowering cherry trees are in full bloom and it's wonderfully, beautifully, spring. My maternal grandparents had big, old, flowering cherry trees lining their drive and I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic when I see them. Full spring hues--the softest petal pink, sweet ivory, vibrant rose, silvery chocolate, deep fuchsia, and more. Delightful!

Each skein of yarn is a labor of love. Recycled or local roving is hand painted with low acid dyes, steamed, and cooled for 24 hours to ensure colorfast yarn and less environmental impact as no dye is being washed down the drain. The roving is drafted and spun on my dreamy Schacht Matchless wheel, wound onto the niddy noddy and fashioned into a skein. Next, I soak the skein of yarn in a spring water and organic grapefruit/eucalyptus essential oil rinse. At this point the wet skein is blocked (dried with weights or on a yarn blocker to remove overtwist) and finally stored, awaiting a new home.

Handspun yarn, handpainted yarn, art yarn Rambouillet wool, thick and thin mohair locks last skein-CHERRY BLOSSOM
