antique c. early 20th century
one of the most incredible pieces I've ever come across, a massive "Wood Study"
a large plaque constructed of three wide planks of pine with samples and cross-sections of 33 unique specimens of trees native to America
each specimen has it's own hand written label with name and description
the paper labels are faded and worn and some are difficult to make out
quite rustically constructed with many nails protruding through the back
perhaps once hung on the walls of a nature center, classroom or summer camp
acquired from a dealer at Brimfield Antique Show is southwest Mass.

28" x 36"

good vintage condition. missing 4 of the tree slices (nail holes are apparent above the coordinating branches). some branches may be a bit loose, but I didn't want to tamper with them at all. this piece is being sold as it is and as it was found.

I will wrap and ship extraordinarily carefully to protect this unique piece and ensure it's safe delivery to you. Will be shipped via Priority Mail within the US. Insurance is included in your purchase. All International buyers must contact for a shipping quote before purchasing.
