Hand painted OOAK Blackberry Birdhouse. My husband builds these beautiful birdhouse with such loving care. Open beams in the inside of the roof take hours to construct. On the outside each shingle is attached one at a time, Every angled turn in the roof has copper flashing. 3 little pegs are around the bottom sides to remove the bottom, to see the construction inside and also to remove the nest from prior year, if you choose to put it outside. It would then need a coat of Spar Varnish to seal it for exterior use. This birrdhouse is one of the smaller that we make and sizes go up to a 3 foot high Dove Cote.

This measures birdhouse measures 14" high x 8½" wide x 8" front to back including perch.

I have hand painted this one with blackberries, foliage, ivy and vine. They are painted with acrylic paint and inks in soft muted greens, plum, violet and sienna browns and sepia, with a light blue washed in background. There is a 1¾" striped sepia and off white painted perch just below the bird opening. These birdhouses are all Original and OOAK. Every piece is signed by me and dated.

These make beautiful decoration for garden rooms, foyers and patios or anywhere you'd like a little artistic touch.
