Hand Painted ItalianPottery Vessel, Jug, Decanter.
"RoccQ DI Dozzo" in translation is "Rock of Dozza".
A quaint village in central Italy, province of Bologna.
A village of Mid-evil times, 1126...?
Beautifully made and painted by Bandini Prenza....
Last name, not sure if I got it right.
After looking this up, he did a fantastic job on the castle.
Every other year, chosen artists come from all over Italy,
and paint the walls, on the Rock of Dozza.
Wish I went when I was in Italy !!
In excellent condition, minus a cleaning.
No chips, cracks or crazing.
Great for Vino.... but since it would not hold much,
how about olive oil.
What a conversation piece.
Water was scarce back in the day,
so they probably had many water jugs.
So much for you history lesson.............

Measures 6 1/2" tall.
5" across belly.
2 3/4" across base.
1 1/4" at the opening.
I do not have a cork.
The rope, being 1 continuous piece,
is approx. 3' in length.

Shipping will be Priority w/ insurance, for USA.

** International buyers, I am happy to ship to you,
