Antique box of Seed's photography dry plates by Eastman Kodak dating back to the early 1900's.

The box is in remarkable condition for it's age. Stored very well all these years. Originally the box held a dozen of these treated glass plates, but alas the box has been opened and some plates had been removed. I'm not sure how many are left as I do not have a darkroom and would hate to be the one to expose these if by chance the glass negatives are still usable. The box states to keep in a dry place and open in dark room only.

Perfect to display with antique photography equipment, use as a movie / theater prop, Victorian / Edwardian era collectible, or home decor item.

The M.A. Seed Dry Plate Company was incorporated in 1883 and was purchased by the Eastman Kodak Co in August of 1902. Seed's was the largest manufacturer of dry plates in the United States at the time they were acquired. Eastman Kodak moved the operations from St Loius, MO to Rochester, NY.
