Pattern 1790-01

1790s Open Pelisse and Regency Dress by Thimbles and Acorns

Around the turn of the century, Romantic and Grecian dress styles that were lighter and simpler than those of past periods became fashionable. Hair styles gentled, stays and petticoats were minimalized, and gowns in plain, subdued colors featured a high waistline just below the bust.

This Pattern features a 1790 style Pelisse with a front belt closure that sits just below the breast, a sailor collar, and a double box pleat in the back. The 3/4 inch sleeves have tucks at the inside elbow, lending a graceful curve to the sleeve. As a bonus, a pattern for a Regency dress, specifically designed to compliment the Pelisse, is included.

A 22 page pattern in PDF format will be sent to you by e-mail after purchase. It is designed to print on standard 8 -1/2" x 11" paper. The basic pattern itself is not too difficult, but some sewing experience is helpful. Extra instructions are included for finished sleeves and cuffs.

This listing is for a PDF version of the pattern. A printed version is available upon request, but will include a $3.45 printing and shipping charge.

For customers who have already purchased this pattern that would like to request an updated version, please send me a convo with your receipt number and the e-mail address you would like it sent to.
