Spring’s Song, Original watercolor painting, 9x12 inches- finished in a stunning custom frame. The frame measures about 19x16 inches

One of my favorite things to do is get out in nature, and even more now- the quiet is so welcoming. I love listening to the birds, and I find myself more and more bringing the outdoors inside to create that sense of calm- and its working. There is nothing better than surrounding yourself with what you love, and bringing the outdoors in.

I can still hear the sound of the songbirds, and smell the perfume from the lilacs blooming nearby. Spring was tied into this painting with each mark I made.

This watercolor is a reflection of my goal to surround myself with anything green for when winter comes back around. I hope it brings you the same peace that it brought me.

In person these trees look alive, the layering of brushwork adds to the texture and feeling that these trees are somehow real. Hang the original painting for a sense of calm especially when we are headed into the winter months.

I've included a photo of the painting in progress as well so you can see exactly where I was when this original was painted.

The photos do not do this piece justice, in person the painting, and the frame together are breathtaking. This is the perfect piece to take your mind back to nature.
