365 Bedtime Bible Stories by Thea Heinemann and Dorothy Ferguson, with Bible Readings, Illustrated by Janet Robson, © 1952 by Whitman Publishing Company, Racine, Wisconsin, Printed in USA. In the 1950s there were many mid-west publishers, most children's books that people purchased in the mid-west were published by mid-west publishers rather than east coast publishers. An interesting and ripe field for collecting.

This is a beautiful little book of 380 pages. Each story is a page long, and each is dated so you can start on January 1 and continue through December 31 (and it contains a page for Feb. 28). The inside illustrations are not elaborate but are quite nice. One of the illustrations in the front has been colored in crayon by a child who was quite good and stayed within the lines well; the inside is inscribed from Grandma & Gpa Christmas 1951 and the owners name, not easily erased, that either adds to the charm for you, or you will want to cover it with a book plate or label. The front cover is really charming. It is a printed cover; I don’t think it ever had a dust jacket. There is some shelf wear on the top, bottom and corners, but, while there is soiling from having been held and read, it’s minimal. All of the pages are intact and have not been marked, folded or torn, although, since it is 59 years old, the pages are yellowed with age. The pages have not begun to crack from the binding. It measures 7 ½ x 10 ½ inches (265 x 190 mm).

I've priced US shipping for Media Mail. I'm sorry that there is no similar economy mailing for out of US shipping. I will, however, happily ship internationally and will provide a shipping cost to your location if you convo me.
