I’ve studied some of the mass produced baskets. The rope they use is thicker, but doesn’t have the stiffness to make a basket that holds its shape. After some experimentation, I have landed on the best cord for my baskets, and I won’t use anything less.
Constructed of 3/16ths cotton cording with a nylon core and finished off with a square of tan leather (vegan leather options available upon request) and antique brass rivets, this basket stands 4”(10 cm) tall, 13”(33cm) long, and 8”(20cm) wide. It can be spot cleaned with mild detergent and water.
Measurements and colors may vary slightly as this is a handmade item, and therefore cannot be duplicated exactly. If you should require a specific size, say to fit inside a shelf, feel free to contact me and I can custom make the size needed.
