OOAK unique piece of wearable art made from an actual vintage seed sack fabrics- a collector's item from the 40s/50s.The vintage seed sack is used on the front panel of the tote, these are well made fully lined bags- perfect for daily use, shopping or traveling!

Very Sturdy and well made- this bag is is made with high quality upholstery weight cotton and trimmed with strong webbing to prevent fraying. The inside is lined with lightweight durable demin with a metal center zipper and multiple inner pockets. I've embellished the bags with long lasting brass hardware and handles are trimmed with soft distressed authentic leather strips to ensure this one of a kind tote will only get better with age.

***What are seed sacks?***
These are an important part of rural American History- these vintage seed sacks are now part of Americana collectibles. Originally manufactured by the corn seed, grass seed and flour companies- these colorful bags were designed to be reused as tablecloths, aprons and other crafting projects. Today some of these vintage seed sacks sell for over $200 each.

***About the bag***
Durable CLEAN bags- proper solid construction and interfacing on the insides- bags have proper structure and will not lose shape after a few wears.
100% cotton outer fabric, 100% cotton lightweight blue denim- NOT scratchy burlap that would mess up your clothes.

Bag is fully lined/ slight padding, interfaced with pockets and zippers on the inside
Handles have upholstery weight webbing with some distressed leather trim, brass stud embellishements.Top metal zipper, 2 zipper pockets on inside, smaller pockets for cell phone etc.

Dry clean only- handles have some leather trim, and vintage print will fade significantly in wash (esp not HOT water)

About me:
I have over 12 years of handbag making experience, and I like to focus mainly on vintage fabrics- previous bag fabrics used are vintage Japanese wedding gowns & vintage upholstery fabrics. The inspiration for this line came from digging through auctions near my husband's home in the midwest and I came across a stash of these bags. The graphics on these fabrics were just so uniquely Americana that I had to try them out! Hope you like them as much as I do :)
