Honeylocust, a tree that can have clusters of massive thorns, has become a widely planted street tree in the northeast, with several varieties available. Its wood is dense, with fairly bold grain.

The growth ring patterns in this bowl have been accentuated somewhat by flame scorching. Natural, hairline cracks have been inlaid with turquoise material and sealed.

Diameter is 7 inches, height is 2-1/2 inches. Finished in a semi-gloss varnish, polished with finishing waxes.

Item # BW294.
