This triangular piece of genuine sea glass is accented by a cascade of oxidized copper chain. The pendant measures about 3" long including the chain. The piece of sea glass is 1 1/2" wide and 1" long.

Sea Glass takes at least 40-60 years to form naturally tumbling in the ocean. Most glass found in the USA dates from the 1800's to the 1960's. It starts as wine bottles, dishware, art glass, windows, canning jars, ink bottles etc that end up in the ocean. The glass breaks up and becomes soft as the tide and waves move the pieces around the ocean floor. From a colonial era onion bottle to a 1930's coke bottle, there is a little bit of history infused in each piece.

Kelly Green dates from the 1930's to today.

I collect all my sea glass by hand and it is all in the shape that I find it on the beach. None of it is machine tumbled or shaped.
