Rose Petal clay has been used for centuries in the making of fertility beads, as well as Scrying Pendants, or Scrying clay (a small polished piece of the rose petal clay which can be kept in the pocket or pouch)
As you wear them, or hold them, the scent of the roses will come out from the clay for years. The warmth from your body will release it.

I was shown the old ways of making the Rose Petal fertility clay when I was small, by my great grandmother. Her son had a huge rose garden, just for the clay making. The traditional making of the rose petal clay is handed down generation to generation, and there are only a few who still know.
Last year I decided to make a few for sale here on Etsy. They are very time intensive to make, so I will not be listing many...I know though, that rose petal scrying pendants made in the traditional ways are difficult to find, if they can be found anywhere else at all, so I will try to make them as often as I can.

One scrying pendant can have up to a half dozen roses in it...and when I make them, I only use Sterling Silver for the bail...which is never glued in place! There is a hidden spiral embedded into the rose petal clay, which holds the bail in place, and creates a small vortex within the pendant.

The black fertility beads were often sold to Catholic Nuns to make Rosary beads with, and the word Rosary actually means "From the Rose Garden". Though these beads were made long before Christianity came to be everywhere.

These Scrying pendants work well with the natural scrying methods...and can be used anywhere, at almost any time. They are inconspicuous and do not draw much attention, usually. They may be worn at all times, though it is advisable to keep them tucked in your clothing.
Seeing tools are very personal to your energy. They should never be left on display as a scrying tool after they have been charged, or used with others, if they are to be used for seeing.

______________

Caring for your Rose Petal Scrying Pendant...

In the physical aspects of making the rose petal clay, I use fresh rose petals, which are simmered for up to a week, made into a clay using Only the petals (there are no earth clays or polymers added).
This is a Dried clay, not a Baked clay.

The most important thing, is to keep the pendant dry....A little water would not really hurt it, but if it were to become soaked, the clay would lose it's integrity. It should then be laid out on a dry smooth cloth to dry again. If the scrying surface dries unevenly, you may contact me to see if I can re-finish it.
