This pipe has many of the same features as its namesake, and definately has a short man's complex. It is a short pipe both in length and in height, but has a thick skull to handle the heat.

This pipe has a shank extention that is made from manzanita wood that I harvested myself. It is firmly attatched to the bowl of the pipe using a round tenon and mortise joint, the same way a stem fits into a shank. It is fitted perfectly and glued in place. The extention is perfectly flush with the shank of the pipe and is seamless.
The stem of this pipe is hand cut from acrylic rod and has a 1/2 in long tenon.
The briar has been stained with light brown stain to bring out the beautiful straight and flame grain, and also has been buffed with pure carnuba wax to give it a mirror shine.
The natural skin of the briar has been kept in tact on the top of the pipe.
The dimensions of this pipe are as follows.
5 in. long
1 3/8 in. tall
1 3/4 in. bowl diameter
3/4X1 in. tobacco chamber.
3/4 in. shank width.
not carbonized.
The briar of this pipe is close to being flawless... That is unless you don't like short French political leaders that are made from wood...

Note: Briar is a natural product and naturally has sand pits and natural flaws. I carve every pipe to minimalize flaws and sandpits, but the finished pipe may still have very small natural flaws wich I do not fill. I believe they add to the character of the pipe.
Each pipe is also hand engraved with my initailas.
Stems are removeable, but should be removed as little as possible

The "Napoleon Bonaparte" A pipe that is compensating for something...
