100% Hand Made Mixed Media abstraction of nazar amulet on 25x25cm(9.8x9.8") board canvas. The media used here is a special hand-made made gesso, acrylics, and graphic markers. This technique includes markmaking representing the amulet and bottom part of the painting represents the evil eye. The surface of this painting is partly matt UV glazed. This is quite an authentic piece and hard to find every day. This can be quite a contribution to your wall art gallery and it is a complimentary gift candidate. No nails on the wall required for this, two sided tape or poster buddies can work pretty well.

Nazar is a word deriving from Arabic, meaning sight, surveillance, attention, and other related concepts, is an eye-shaped amulet believed to protect against the evil eye. Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, Bengali, Kurdish, Persian, Punjabi, Turkish and other languages use the term as well. In Turkey, it is known by the name nazar boncuğu (the latter word being a derivative of boncuk, "bead", and the former borrowed from Arabic), in Greece is known as mati (the evil eye). In Persian and Afghan folklore, it is called a cheshm nazar (Persian: چشم نظر‎) or nazar qurbāni (Persian: نظرقربانی‎). In India and Pakistan, the Hindi-Urdu slogan Chashm-e-Baddoor is used to ward off the evil eye. In the Indian subcontinent, the phrase "Nazar lag gai" is used to indicate that one has been affected by the evil eye. (Source: Wikipedia) It is also known that the geography inherited this amulet from ancient Pagan tradition.

The packaging will be done carefully in corrugated cardboards and will be shipped in 1-3 work days. You will also get the signed certificate of authentication.
